The Ninja Honey Bees have an important role in the production of the fresh vegetable that wee sell at our farmer market stand . According to the NAPPC, bees pollinate 75 percent of the vegetables, fruits, and nuts in the United States. They are our pollinators. They visit the vegetable blooms looking for pollen and nectar. This pollination is required for many garden vegetables such as some okra, beans, squash, cucumbers and many more.
If you want to have a bountiful vegetable harvest next year, you might need to start planting the nectar for the bees. Marigolds, zinnias, and even rosemary are excellent options to plant near your vegetables to help with bee pollination.
We offer Ninja Sweet, which is a Banana Pepper Jelly that can be served with cream cheese and crackers or as a morning treat with cream cheese and a bagel. Spread on toast. Used in a salad dressing or used as a glaze on chicken, fish or pork. There are many ways to use this sweet zippy jelly!
We also have our Ninja Hot, which has a base of Habanero Peppers. We tame this hot treat with a few bell and banana peppers. It is fabulous addition to cheese trays, layered in grilled cheese sandwiches, as a grilling glaze, on biscuits, or as a dip for grilled sausages and so much more. One person told us they use it to spice up their PB&J sandwiches, plus the bread will help tame the heat. The sugar we added also cools it a little.
